Hey Everyone!!! My name is Tammy Russell, and I am a senior at the University of Michigan-Dearborn! I am graduating in April!!! GO CLASS OF 2008!!! I am 23 years old, and very very very excited about ASB 2008 in DETROIT!!! A LITTLE BACKGROUND ABOUT ME: Right now I am a part time waitress at National Coney Island in Detroit, and a part time intern at Entertainment Publications Inc. in Troy, MI. I also attend classes 4 days a week at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. I transfered to UMD in 2004. Before that I attended Northwood University in Midland, MI. When I transfered to UofM-Dearborn I was blessed with the opportunity to play basketball for the University. I played for 3 years as a guard for the Lady Wolves, and was named captain of the team for two of those years. Basketball was pretty much my life up until this year. The best part of colligate athletics had to of been the wonderful people that touched my life in such positive ways. One such person that I have been able to become great freinds with through UMD basketball is Adam Harris! I'm sure you have all heard that name a time or two by now ;-). Adam has inspired me to be more involved in the community and in the lives of those who can benefit from what I have to offer (something that I didn't neccessarily realize I had before my introduction to Adam). Adam has allowed me to be involved in basketball camps for kids at the University of Michigan Dearborn, and most recently he has opened the doors for me to become a part of the board of executives of S.W.O.T, the program that he launched just this year through the help of the United Way and Volunteer Dearborn (Student Activities). Through S.W.OT. I have been able to be more involved with the University than just basketball. WHY ASB?!?!: Now that I am more aware of the effects that my actions can have on other people I want to be able to do it in all ways possible. To see the passion that Adam has for doing for other people has definately motivated me to see what it is all about. I wish that I could describe to all of you the the immense generosity and humblness that is Adam Harris, and the excitment that he has for all of us to experience the adventures of ASB 2008. Just as excited as Adam is to meet all of you, I am just as excited for all of you to finally meet Adam. I am thrilled to finally be able see the impact that an experience such as ASB can have on my life and yours likewise. An experience that will last a life time. I look forward to making all of you a memory that will stick with me forever! God Bless and best of Luck! See you all in a couple weeks!!!! - Tammy!!!!
