Hello everyone! My name is Gloria Bracy and I'm an Americorps*VISTA at the Inland Empire United Way! I'm a team leader for ASB Detroit and I must admit I'm a little nervous. But I know its going to be awesome!!
I'm volunteering with Hands On Inland Empire, which is basically a volunteer center but we focus on making sure our volunteers have the best experience possible! We have some really awesome ongoing projects, like 'Read to Kids', 'Family Fun Night and Pot Luck' and 'Happy Birthday to Me', which are all lead by trained volunteer project leaders!
About me: I love to read, especially fantasy novels, I'm interested in Work/Life balance as a profession, and I'm an avid tropical fish enthusiast! I graduated from Claremont McKenna College this last May, and I still find it hard to believe that I actually have a degree. My goal is to get at least one more, if not two!

AmeriCorps*VISTA is such a great program! It' great that you are doing that- I hope you are having a good time as a VISTA!
