Hi! Welcome everyone my name is Gieric Laput, a junior, pre-med student at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. When I’m not skimming an Organic Chemistry book I keep myself sane through my passions in art, literature and music. I was born and raised in the Philippines and came here in Michigan almost three years ago. Those seventeen years keep me grounded and have been a crucial part in my decision to become a doctor.
I am very excited about ASB 2008. I believe that for those of us whom blessings are given, much is expected. I have big dreams of impacting my community, here and back home, and it is just right and fitting to start here. That dream is not that big and unreachable of a dream anymore, and being given this great opportunity to take part in ASB 2008 has helped me to slowly realize it.

i love that line that Cardi chose...i came here also seven years ago. i was born and raised in a village in Israel and since i came here i seen the power of helping others. i am becoming a social worker for the same reasons to help my communtiy here and back home and all over the world if i can.
i am excited to have the chance to meet great poeple like you.
