This is Khurram Imam. This is my first time participating in Alternative Spring Break.
When I first applied for this event, I did not know that it was going to be this big. I was told that there was going to be a volunteer event, and I signed up. It's as simple as that.
I've volunteered before at places such as nursing homes, hospitals and Habitat for Humanity, but I've not been able to help with the blunt focus ASB is allowing. The thing about ASB I'm looking forward to the most has to be that extensive level of commitment it asks of a person.
I know for a fact that one week will change all of the volunteer's lives.
