Why ASB? Why Detroit?

Wassup People,

I wish everyone was as cool and down to earth as you all. I have been reading up on your posts, and it seems like we're going to have an amazing time together. We are all fortunate enough to give back to our communities, that is why Alternative Spring Break is so amazing.

My entire life, Detroit has been my home, and although as a city it has its ups and downs, I whole heartedly embrace the ups. Our generation is on a roll, we have so much momentum, and we are carrying it loudly, proudly, and most importantly, effectively.

So there isn't much of a question as to why ASB, or why Detroit, it is plain and simple: I care about my community, I care about others, I want to make new friends, and I want to spend my time carrying a dream, to make life easier for others, and leave a place better than when I received it.

I can't wait to see all of you, GO BLUE!
